Scared eyes kept staring at the walkers,
To find a familiar face and wag its tail
Many walked past this furry soul
But none acknowledged its presence.
The figure in black and white emerged,
On the daily routine path for walking
The furry friend stood up, left and right
The tail wagged expressing love.
Biscuits were at hand for the friend,
She ate some, and took some away
To a narrow pathway that ran beside
Pups came running along with little barks.
The little ones ate the food scrumptiously,
The mother's heart growing content
Looking at the little tummies bulging out
A tale of tails so beautiful indeed.
Observation par excellence in verse.
