a desire to compose

As the morning comes,
I have the urge to write,
Write anything per say,
A desire to compose.

But, what do I write about?
Yes, the daily city scenes,
Holding concrete buildings,
With less greenery in sight.

The sun’s rays seep in,
They come through those gaps,
Which man could not occupy,
Gaps that stand as a challenge.

For man for once faces a defeat,
Unable to conquer the whole,
He stands in front of nature,
Spreading his hands, asking more.

Nature as a generous god,
Bestows more of her blessings,
Onto this mortal once again,
Showering her love once again.

  1. Good morning, good verse with nice photograph. I am just reminded of the book which I just finished "Man's Search for Meaning" by Viktor E. Frankl and a book in Telugu a fiction that revolved around the nature and forest. Have nice day

  2. Dear Suhasini

A good attempt to bring out the relationship between man and nature. The struggle, for the man will continue, if he is not content with what the generous nature offers to him. Because, nature itself is beautiful and full of life. We need not ask for more and just cherish our existence with it.

    1. But how many of us are sensitive to fact that we are content with whatever the nature has provided for us till now! Nature is indeed beautiful and it is a base upon which our livelihood is directly or indirectly depended upon.
