Telegram over Whatsapp

Whatsapp has been a popular messaging app for a long time now. It has attracted millions of people, and has proven itself to be a basic requirement tool. However, the 'popularity' comes with its own set of loses. And, after Facebook having bought the app, there is always a threat to privacy. Initially, people switched to Telegram because Whatsapp provided very limited set of group-memebers-addition, but when it raised its limit, people started using it more often. Telegram is similar to Whatsapp, with a few improvisations. This app is more secure than Whatsapp, and can function on different devices at the same time. This happens to be one of the best advantages of Telegram, for one can totally avoid the circus of installing and uninstalling the app on different devices.

Telegram provides 'stickers' which is real fun to use while texting, and the operating system connects to you as a 'bot' where you can create your own accessories by simply typing the commands to the bot-messages. The app is more secure than Whatsapp; and it has something called a 'secret chat' which will remain between the sender-receiver, and will remain on one of the devices in which the chat was first initiated. 'File sharing' is swift on Telegram where it supports upto a transfer of 1.5GB of data, while Whatsapp fails to do so in this case. Since Telegram and Whatsapp are basically messaging apps, it doesn't matter much that Whatsapp now has audio/video calling facilities.

Telegram/Whatsapp, both serve the purposes of free messaging (of course, with internet) - but both the apps are tailor-made for people looking for specifics (calls/stickers/file transfer/security).

If you have tried both the apps, then please do let me know which of them you prefer and why?

Logitech K480 Multi Purpose Keyboard

I have been searching for a light-weight laptop, or even a Netbook which I could carry around without straining my back, but I did not find any such gadget within a price range of ₹20,000. After surfing through the internet, and pondering over many applications of a new laptop over the old one, I realized that I had a Sony Xperia Z LTE Tablet already, and all I wanted was a mini-keyboard. I searched for such a keyboard and found two mini-keyboards, one from the Logitech brand and the other from the Microsoft brand. The Microsoft keyboard looks sophisticated, and is a portable one, but quite expensive which comes to ₹6,000. The price held me back, and then I took a detailed search on the Logitech K480, the design immediately appealed to me.

Logitech K480 Multi Purpose Keyboard

Logitech K480 Keyboard runs on two 3A-batteries, and works on bluetooth connectivity. The keyboard can be connected to three devices at the same time, and these devices could be desktop, android, IOS or all the three. There is a slot provided which has an inclined hollow space, and the electronic gadgets can be place in the slot, and the inclined built prevents the gadgets from toppling off the keyboard. The keys are really great, and the typing goes smooth and gives the feel of a regular keyboard. There is a knob which works to connect to one of the three devices at a time, and there is an option where a switch can be made from PC to IOS. The keyboard has functional keys of both, an Android and an Apple.

Logitech K480 Multi Purpose Keyboard is light-weight, easy to carry, stylish to flaunt, and less expensive when compared to other keyboards. I purchased it for ₹1,770 from Amazon, and it comes in two colours, black and white.

Fujifilm Instax Mini 8

Recently, I came across this camera called Instax Mini 8 produced by the Fujifim Camera Company. And, I love to own one!
Fujifilm Instax Mini 8

This camera automatically determines the best brightness for taking a picture and suggests to you of the suitable setting by lighting the corresponding lamp. There is an in-built exposure meter, an LED indicator when to work in manual setting. The camera uses 1R6/AA-size, 1.5v alkaline batteries for its power supply, and takes up to 10 film packs in its capacity for the total power supplied. Once, you know how to work around with inserting the film pack, and working with different light settings, then I am sure this little magic box would provide memorable results. I personally find the model so appealing and attractive, it could be used on vacations (very effective for travellers) and for small get-togethers. If you have an addition in the family (baby, or any pet), then perhaps you may find this camera a little comfortable for you get the photos immediately and you need not have to wait till a sufficient amount of photos are collected and then wait again for it to be printed.

This product is available on Flipkart, and comes in many other bright colours.

what is it like to be a Pen Lover?

Pen, in its own way, is such a mesmerizing object to me. A pen to me is more like a guitar to a guitarist, a pleasant zephyr to a poet or a writer, weights to a weightlifter and love to a lover. A pen to me is my love! Yes, I love pens.

Ferrari Racing Red Fountain Pen
Recently, I bought a ‘Ferrari Fountain Pen – Racing Collection’; I fell in love with this pen instantly.  I admire its structure, the titanium nib, the ink cartridge and the pen-cap with the Ferrari logo. It really amuses me to watch the friction-less, smooth flow of ink onto the paper, as if it were some flower voluntarily offering its nectar to the butterflies. The body of this majestic pen is made up of resin [read: a hard plastic material] material and it is blood-red in color, this color is symbolic of the brand, Ferrari, yet it gives a dashing look to the pen. The pen-cap has the logo on the holder and the name ‘Ferrari’ imprinted at the end of the cap; this design seems to be portrayed as a mark of class and elite. The titanium nib has a few arrows like lines embossed on it and this metal is thoroughly supported and held by the resin plastic, here, it is black in color – the nib is such that it has qualities of both the formal looks and the funkiness. The combination of the interior black color, exterior blood-red color and a tinge of yellow for the logo, all amassed gives a remarkable product. The feel that I get when I write with this pen is wordless; it is as if to an actor his Oscar Award and to a hacker his new cheat code. The Ferrari Fountain Pen is such a wonderful piece that man has created. This simple creation has left me awestruck and has tickled my heart to love it. I would also recommend this pen to be in a pen-lover’s pen collection. Very well, to be a 'Pen-Lover', it is really an amazing feeling!
