A short love story...

Dwindling thoughts of uncertainties, but rising emotions of anxiety, all were in tune to the nightingale’s rhythm. The moon beamed her generous charming light on the pathless woods, while the waters of the petty stream sincerely reflected the twinkle of the stars. The night's wind gently wafted across her wavy hair, and the dark brown eyes closed tightly as a tear trickled down. She walked down in the moonlight with arms folded across her chest, battling the gentle chill of the nightly breeze, and soon she was in the middle of the woodland. There was now no sound of the bird's song, but the trees reverberated only the cricket's creek. A soft hand touched her shoulder from behind, and she was not afraid to see who it was. The curly locks dangling across the forehead and the shine in those hazel eyes were enough to make her heart skip a beat. He pointed to the path that would reach her to home, and quickly disappeared into the darkness. She was flummoxed and could not take her eyes off the woodland for some time. The wind grew intense, and she tended to return through the pathless woods. It was not much of a memory but she did leave her heart behind in the woods.
