love letter to a stranger

As the young rays of the sun hit the wet ground early in the morning, a glow was cast upon the whole city. I went out for a walk, well... maybe just strolling on the nearby streets. Nothing seemed extraordinary to my eyes, and the roads just had their usual people, pets and turns. One thing was different though, it wasn't like the usual, there was a note in my pocket. A note that simply wrote, "You're amazing! Keep glowing and going!" I'd this note handmade and written in cursive with all the little crafty decorations on the envelope.

This note was for someone special!

He sat by the tea stall on a fixed bench and read the newspaper everyday. He was used to seeing many walkers go by the tea stall, but a strange familiarity emerged between us. We never spoke, didn't even greet by way of any body language, we just looked at each other everyday and moved on. Today, as I was getting near to the stall, I saw the old man with his head immersed in the newspaper. I extended my decorated envelope to him and smiled, and he returned the smile while taking the envelope. Not a word of greeting or gratitude was exchanged verbally, but our smiles spoke a million words!

I continued walking, and quickly gave a peek at the old man, he was smiling as he read the note.
