Titled Abc...

A moment is all I need,
Bestow your presence before my eyes,
Celebrated much shall be your form,
Deny not my Master for what I ask,
Enable me to see from the mind's eyes.
Force is your supreme power,
Gone with the wind this world if you wish.
Halt never till you have poured the last drop of wealth,
I call it wealth, the one that can never be diminished,
Jauntiness is what this wealth gives me,
Knowledge is the wealth I ask for,
Learning in depths is what I crave for,
More than the material, it is man who is the Master of material and love.
Not less a degree of description with regard to this creature,
Only this majestic living thing holds both, the good and evil,
Priority lies within - to right the wrong.
Quenches the thirst we think, but forever remain thirsty,
Road of knowledge teaches us to be humble and giving.
Stillness of moments is relished in memories and serve to learning,
Transition is what helps humankind to break the shackles with the earthly means.
Universal oneness is the ultimate goal,
Vivid is the way of thinking and approach in its attainment.
Worldly pleasure has no weight but for worldly knowledge on contrary.
Xanadu was the place Coleridge chose to portray the ideal; wanting us to work to perfection,
Yelp too produces a musical note emphasizing that noise too is music,
Zealous is what you become when you learn 'how to learn'!

Art Matters: Because Your Imagination Can Change the WorldArt Matters: Because Your Imagination Can Change the World by Neil Gaiman
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Gaiman knows exactly how words make a writer a magician! The inspirational messages, and realistic methods of handling situations, along with enhancing illustrations - all amalgamated make a wonderful narration, a delightful treat of the beauty of words and images. The narration literally dances before the reader urging him/her to pursue 'reading' and 'making art' as vital aspects of one's life. Gaiman, very subtly and simplistically, takes the reader on a philosophical ride and enlightens. There is indeed nothing to brood over if our art doesn't pay us as much, but what we remain entitled to by the end of the day is our art itself, so, why not make art!
