Mystical Relations

It was about the same time I woke up one Sunday, but on that day I chose to have my morning exercises done before studying. I set out in the cold breeze and in the mild foggy weather to the park nearby. I had shifted over my residence to this new area which was calm and which rarely had the 'vroom' sounds of the vehicles; after I settled down well here, I explored the place and found the nearby park more suitable for jogging and an ever ready inspiration when I had to write verses or any other form of write-up.

I walked the streets leading to the park and reached the park at around 5.30 a.m. There was an old lady who at her first appearance caught my attention. She dressed similar to that as the South-Indian women and nothing peculiarly different was seen in her. I was wrong! This old lady had something in her; I could feel the 'positive-aura' around her. As we entered the park, we looked at each other and exchanged smiles, and continued with the exercise chores. I did some warm-up and then started off with jogging. Simultaneously, I took a sneak-peek at the lady, she too was doing her warm-up but she did it as if she had ample time and was completely not in any hurry. As I finished my six rounds of jogging, I sat down at a bench to meditate; meanwhile the lady had started taking her morning walk. When I was done with meditation, I saw that the lady too was done with her few rounds of walk. I looked at her and both smiled at each other in perfect understanding that it was time for me to leave the park.

I remained awe-struck by that lady and felt happy and optimistic for the rest of the day. Since that day onwards, I made it sure that I would reach the park at 5.30 a.m., so that I could see the old lady every day. Several days passed by and both the lady and I greeted each other with nothing more than mere smiles. (Yes, mere smiles can do wonders!) There was some sort of connection built betwixt us and somehow I felt that the feelings were mutual. I did not know why exactly all this was happening and did not care to ponder much over such thoughts as I was ecstatic in the presence of the lady.

It was Saturday and was much like any other day, only which it remains a memory in me and also it did leave a mark in my heart! The routines followed its way just as usual but for a slight change that I did not meet the old lady that morning. I finished my exercise coupled with meditation but could not really concentrate on refreshing my mind as I awaited the lady. I spent about an hour and a half waiting for her but she did not turn up that day. I simply thought she might have had some other work more important at that time of the day and I left for my house to start off with my work for the day.

I did the same the next, the days that followed and today except for the spilling of this story. After that Saturday, I never met the old lady and I wonder what sort of relationship we had, that pulled me so close to her and created a sense of void in my heart in her absence. I did not and do not seek for any answers as I feel that some instances in life are best left without comprehending it. I only await the lady with a sense of hope in me that she would someday return and give a gentle smile at me when she sees me and thus making my day with her mysterious aura of optimism!

  1. Good morning. Reading good things in the morning will make ones feeling better, I don't know I checked it right today, I missed my purse not sure I missed during journey or I left it at home, normally I would have felt bad thinking of that and missed happiness entire day. I am sure, reading of a story like this makes one feel good. I did encounter these kind of mystic relations. Have a nice week. I am sure you keep writing such writings.

    1. I agree with you Sir! Having forgotten an accessory on the way to the day's work certainly puts one's mood off but keeping it aside and concentrating on the day's work would be more beneficial and happy; guess we only have to learn it by way of practice. Thank you for sharing your thoughts Sir! :)

  3. Suhasini, it is a good read. Your attempt to write and say a story out of this small incident comes out good. The suspense you have maintained makes it more interesting. Perhaps, you could have said about the ladies absence at the end, for the suspense could have made the reading more energetic. However, as I said, it is a good read. Keep up the good work.

  5. its basically the mind which makes us attracted and we become close towards the end which is called the mind set.in life positiveness comes only through seeing positive persons.this is carried on for ever in life.to have good freinds,to get good freinds every one of us should be lucky,to meet good also is a lucky thing which makes us feel confidence.

    1. Thank you for taking out time and visiting my blog Raghavendra. Positivity is not only felt superficially but by the connection between the souls as well. And yes, it is a lucky thing that makes us feel confident!

    1. Well, not every time I would term it luck but give it a name of that of destiny.
