this too shall pass

In thy presence,
I seek no other voice,
That in power has its word in resonance,
And I work to curb the inner noise.

Let thine power ever shine,
And give the intense bless,
For I can then call thee mine,
And to limit the prowess of mine stress.

Bestow thy strands of joy and sorrow,
For I can relish both with same passion,
Moments that pass not in vain is what I want to borrow,
Bestow on me thine quality of compassion.

In thy presence,
I look upon no other form,
That brings much pleasance,
Which indeed is a feeling so warm.
