Welcoming September

A happy mind for now,
Rejoices the coming -
Of the month of fall,
Zephyr is reburnt, and
Counting the gold on floor,
Kindles memories of past
The romance of the wind
And sound of leaves' rustle
A moment so beautiful,
Just like the previous one
And like the next one,
I stand amazed, bowed
To the magic of nature
Which lasts not long, for
This too shall pass away,
And the bleak weather -
Strikes the mortals again.
Live for this minute now
It is strangely sweet -
But the life is worth it.

  1. Your words made me to refresh my memories of my University days of long walks - hot cup of coffee prolonged discussions and my first job with children in the Sahyadri range long treks, walking with children, jumping around during rains. As usual you are good at weaving the lines that makes reading a pleasure. Thank you....
